Jewel Fire: A Collection of Buddhist Poems
by Arya F. Jenkins, with artwork by Diana Ludwig.

 Arya Cover

The poems in this collection, written over the period of
about a year, represent my journey as a Buddhist, and
the various ways my spiritual practice has infused my
thoughts, words and actions in this life.

I offer up this effort to the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha
  and my gurus.

May all sentient beings achieve liberation!

    EMPTINESS

    You can claim that
    It’s all about you
    Or all about me

    Or about us

    But it’s really about neither

    Or them either

    But the energy in-between
    The quality of energy
    The love.

       *

    FIRE

    Fire comes in many forms
    It shapes the intractable
It is the substance of hope.
