Each item is hand-crafted, so expect natural imperfections.
Explanation of pictographs (where applicable) on back of frame.
The backgrounds use handmade papers from around the world.
The brushwork by Mankh is printed on rice paper from a master copy.
Calligraphy lettering is done with a variety of markers and pens and may vary.
Wood frames are stained and polyurethaned.

ancient Chinese pictograph: upper pictograph:
three birds on a tree -- rain from the sky
branches going up, roots down. lower pictograph:
a flower -- branch or stem (middle line)
with leaves or flower-petals (both sides)
curvy bottom line is “breath” moving through
an obstacle (long horizontal line) which
suggests that flowers are nurtured by some
kind of ‘organic breath.’
